The Lochhill Team is a diverse and experienced bunch of folk who are lending their skills to make the project work.

Richard and Jane Middleton
Richard and Jane are the owners of Lochhill and Directors of the CIC. They are interested in sustainable approaches to farming, boosting nature and biodiversity, and giving something back to their local community

Abi Mordin
Abi is a Director with Lochhill. She brings over 25 years of experience in agroecology and nature friendly land management. She founded the local Galloway Food Hub, runs her own market garden, and works as a consultant on a range of sustainable food systems projects.

Karolina Bradtke
Karolina bring finance skills to the Directors group. Her day job is managing capital budgets for Dumfries and Galloway Council, but she loves being outdoors, foraging and connecting with nature.

Natalie Welden
Dr Nat is a Lecturer at the Uni of Glasgow, at the Dumfries Campus - School of Environmental and Social Sustainability. She brings her wide experience of education to the Directors team, alongside her deep knowledge of healthy ecosystems.

Ross Paton
Ross Paton joined the Directors group to share his knowledge of organic dairy systems and direct milk sales. He co-runs the nearby Torr Organic Dairy which has been in his family for several generations. He's Chair of the Scottish Organic Stakeholders Group.

Tim Barnes
Tim has been a farmer all his adult life, working in the uplands with cattle and sheep, and now his own farm nearby with his wife and daughter. He runs his sheep in an regenerative grazing system, managing for soil health and biodiversity.

Emily O'Rourke
Emily has joined Lochhill as the new Grower, setting up her market garden enterprise Nature Ally. She has been working on large organic veg farms for several years and felt ready to take on her own challenge.

Jonathan Olandi and Helen Cossar
Jonathan and Helen are leading the development of the Micro-Dairy. Jonathan comes from 4 generations of dairy farmers in the Italian Alps and now works for the GSA Biosphere. Helen works as Sustainability Manager at Marks and Spencer. They bring a passion for nature, cows and cheese!
